Layout of the store

The ambience of the store is a very traditional type of dessert shop you might find in Hong Kong or Taipei. With the yellow tag menu, chinese paintings on walls and the hardwood furniture, it really makes one feels that he/she is overseas enjoying delicious desserts.

Mango Sago with Pomelo
This particular dessert is one of favourited among customers. The mango and pomelo are freshly picked and cut from the chiller, on top of it were a layer of coconut milk to enhance the taste and fragrance of the dish. The freshness and sweetness of the mango chunks combined with the burst of the pomelo which neutralises the oversweetness of the mango with its slight sourness, what is more to say?

Mango Sago with Pomelo and an additional Mango Ice Cream!
With the above description of the normal mango sago with pomelo, those with sweet tooth can further add a ice cream of their choice (mango, cookies and cream, yam and others). The ice cream will seep into the dessert, making it an ultimate combination of what is heaven and earth.
A beautiful decorated Pulot Hitam

The beautifully well decorated Pulot Hitam with a pinch of almond flakes makes you feel in a dilemma. The delimma of savouring the beautifully designed Pulot Hitam. The effort and skill that are used to enhance this particular dessert should be applauded. One of the main selling points of a good dish is their appearance and design, in which this dish holds which capture the hearts of many.

Steamed Egg
The Steamed Egg comes in either warm or cold style. We tried the warm version so as we can better taste the texture and the freshness. It is different from the Japanese steamed egg: Chawanmushi. The importance of steamed egg is that it does not have a sour smell and that it is not too filling which allows the stomach to disgest better.

Conclusion
Ah Chew desserts offers a variety of local desserts which is suitable even for tourists. The pricing is not very high for such good quality desserts. It is affordable, and during the lunch hour, be prepared to give up your seats once you're done. It is a small shop and with the crowd coming, you cannot really stay and catch up with your friends as it is not a hang-out place. However, the service is quite efficient and your desserts are being prepared after your order is being taken.
